Be You{tiful} Blossoms

Today's card has been percolating in the back of my mind before I even purchased this stamp set. If you follow my blog you might remember that I posted a card recently that featured the Flower Patch Bundle. I mentioned in that post that while I loved the card I created, it wasn't quite the card that I had envisioned. So today, THIS is THAT card...it has been in my head for so long, I'm so glad to create and share it finally!

Simple Saturday - Be You{tiful} Blossoms

I LOVE yellow, especially in flowers, so bright and cheerful that you just have to smile! For this project I used Crushed Curry, Old Olive and Calypso Coral. I used a similar color combination for a Pals Paper Arts color challenge some months ago (viewable here) and I just HAD to use the combination again...I love it! For this project I substituted Crushed Curry in place of Daffodil Delight because I have embossing powder in Crushed Curry :)

I stamped the stems in Old Olive and then stamped the flower outline in Calypso Coral. I used Versamark Ink to stamp the flower centers and the heat embossed them in Crushed Curry. I then ran them through the Big Shot with my coordinating die set (love) and popped them up on the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. At this point I realized that I also have embossing powder in Calypso Coral so I used it for the greeting. It is so sparkly and pretty!!

I finished the card off with Crushed Curry Baker's Twine and card base. I was having so much fun I kept going on the inside:

Who could resist smiling at the sight of this cute little flower??

The delightful paper I used as an envelope liner is from the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack, only $6.95 (!) and sooo cute!

Thank you for stopping by today and I would love to hear what you think of this card!
