Can You Case It #44 - Simple Get Well Wishes

It's Sunday! A wonderful day to relax and get some stamping time in! And the Can You Case It Design Team has an awesome color challenge for you to jump start your creative juices!

I actually just did a similar color combination with the Pals Paper Arts challenge! That's okay, the colors are beautiful! I pulled out the colors and laid them on my desk and stared at them for awhile. Then I went through my stamp drawer and was drawn to the Summer Silhouettes stamp set. It has such an elegant, romantic feel to it! And this is what I did with it!

I can't believe how well Mossy Meadow and Blackberry Bliss look when paired with Very Vanilla! This color combination is absolutely stunning! You MUST try it!!

I haven't made a truly clean and simple card in a bit so this was the day:)

One leaf, stamped in Mossy Meadow; one flower stamped in Blackberry Bliss and fussy cut out and popped up with a Stampin' Dimensional, and one perfectly sized sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. It doesn't get much more clean and simple than that!

I felt that the card needed just a teeny bit more so I pulled out my Beautiful Wings Embosslit and created an itty bitty butterfly in Blackberry Bliss. I adhered it with a mini glue dot that I folded into fourths with my Paper Piercing Tool. A few Basics Pearl Jewels finishes the design out with a bit of panache!

Do you like today's card? I want to carry it around with me and just stare at it, it just makes me THAT happy!

Can You Case It #40 - Kinda Eclectic Happy Healing

Welcome Stampers! Today I am here with another challenge from the Can You Case It Challenge Blog:

What a fun color combination this week! I can't wait to see what you do with it! Here's a bit of inspiration for you...

Can You Case It #40 - Kinda Eclectic Happy Healing

I really wasn't sure where I was going with this...I used this lovely pattern paper from the Park Lane Designer Series Paper and grabbed the Kinda Eclectic stamp set and the three challenge colors and just started stamping :)

I'm very pleased with how it turned out! I did stamp off the Pumpkin Pie ink before stamping on my card to tone down the color a bit. I used my Pumpkin Pie Blendabilities to color my pearls, such a handy feature of the Blendabilities!

I've not used this butterfly stamp before, I absolutely LOVE it and will be using that little guy more in the future!

A quick and easy card for your inspiration today, please pop over to the Can You Case It Challenge Blog to see what the other designers have created for you!

Perfect Notecards...

Perfect Notecards...

Aren't these fun? These are the Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Cards & Envelopes found on page 23 of the Occasions Catalog. I purchased these awhile ago but wasn't quite sure how to use them. Then a co-worker mentioned that she liked to keep cards in her desk at work, just in case. And it clicked! These would be PERFECT for that!

So I sat down to put them together. I wanted to keep it simple so that if you do not own a lot of stamping product, you could still make these quickly and easily. I limited myself to ONE stamp set so I chose Peaceful Petals for the variety of designs, the sentiments, and the fonts. They just seemed to fit these note cards very well. And the note cards! Wow! They are printed on watercolor paper so  they have SUCH a nice texture to them. Very elegant :) I also kept it to ONE ink so I chose StazOn Black ink. It stamps a nice crisp image and dries almost instantly. Perfect for me, I HATE to wait :)

Don't you think they would be perfect to have on hand for...whatever? And you could still say that you made them...with one stamp set and one ink pad. Oh, and if you are like me and can't commit without seeing it first, you should also purchase the Stamp-a-ma-Jig. It allows you to see the placement of your image BEFORE you stamp! Money well spent!

So then I thought...these would make a perfect gift! How can I package them? Well...it turns out that our clear envelopes just happen to fit 5 note cards and envelopes perfectly! Who knew?

Perfect Notecards...

Isn't that FUN?!? Okay, when I gussied them up I did add a tag cut with the Big Shot and the Chalk Talk bundle...but isn't it cute? You could easily use either the Angled or Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and hand write the sentiment if you don't own a Big Shot.

So to sum this all up...

You could get all this, with a stamp set and an ink pad, for as little as $2.50 per card, if you make your purchase between April 21st and April 25th and get free shipping. If you purchase two sets of note cards, the price goes down to $1.57 per card. And all you will ever need to do is buy more note cards. Such a deal for a handmade card!

I'm thinking of hostess gifts, teacher gifts, book club gifts, Christmas gifts...so many choices! Who would you make a set for? Please leave me a comment and let me know!

Flower Shop Feel Better

Today's post is the result of inspiration from TWO challenges! I was intrigued and challenged by this sketch from the designers over at Freshly Made Sketches:

And this so lovely but so VERY challenging color challenge I found over at Pixel Maven's DigiChallenge:

The angle on the sketch challenge had me quite perplexed but I worked and re-worked it until I found something I was happy with! And the colors are terrfic together but the trick is all in the balance of the colors! I'm very pleased how this turned out (finally)

I chose Coastal Cabana as my main color. Elegant Eggplant really pops against the mid-tone background and the Pistachio Pudding is perfect as an accent color.

These blossoms from the Flower Shop stamp set and the coordinating Pansy Punch make creating a focal point easy! Stamp and punch, stamp and punch, that's it! I have attached them to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals for a wonderful 3-D effect.

The Express Yourself stamp set has SO many sentiments in a wonderful font...and can be purchased with a party order of just $150!

I die cut leaves using the Little Leaves Sizzlit Dies and tucked them behind the flowers to fill out my bouquet a bit. And of course, Basic Rhinestones in a flourish add a delightful bit of sparkle!
