Kinda Eclectic Thank you - PPA213 & PP205

A clean and simple card for two wonderful challenges today! Here are my inspirations, a sketch from the Pals Paper Arts design team and a color challenge from the delightfully talented Sandy Mathis of The Paper Players:

I took The Paper Players clean and simple challenge at their word and decided only a one layer card would do today! I love this new set Kinda Eclectic which arrived in my recent order and HAD to be inked up!! I stamped this wonderful star burst design in Smoky Slate and then again in Soft Sky. The leaf image was inked up in Pool Party and then stamped off once before being stamped onto my card, providing a subtle variation in color. The sentiment is stamped in Lost Lagoon.

It's hard to capture sparkle with the camera but I squeezed a bit of Dazzling Details onto a scrap piece of paper and then used a VERY fine paint brush to paint sparkle onto all three star bursts. You'll have to take my word for it but it is a very pretty effect. Please note that to do this you need a very fine paint brush as well as a light touch or the Dazzling Details will warp the paper!

I also added a few bitty Pearls and a stamped and punched butterfly (also an image from this stamp set). The butterfly and all of the pearls were painted with sparkle too...a girl can never have too much sparkle right?! Lol

It's a quick post today because one of the challenges closes in 15 minutes. I hope you have a great weekend! It's going to be a scorcher here in Southern California so I will be spending it indoors, probably in my stamp room!

Thanks so much for stopping by and for all of your wonderful comments on my post yesterday! I was giddy with excitement, I'm so glad you liked my card!
