A Simple Thank You for The Paper Players - PP208

Good Morning and Happy Monday! It's going to happen whether we want it to or not so I've decided to embrace it. I hope you had a fabulous weekend! I spent quite a bit of time repairing the closet in my craft room, with hubby's help of course! Everything is back up and in it's place, yay! I even found time to stamp last night!

I love The Paper Players challenge to use FOUR colors on a card! FOUR! Let's take a peek at what they have for us this week:

One of the first stamp sets I ordered from the new catalog this year is the stamp set Borderettes. I just HAD to have it! Then when it came I thought 'what on earth am I going to do with this?' Last night inspiration struck!

What do you think?! Please don't adjust your monitor, it's not you or me, it's the font on the greeting. I took so many pictures of this card and finally decided that the font makes everything look a bit out of focus. It doesn't in real life!

I had a blast stamping this...and only had to start over four times :) The Borderettes stamp set is photopolymer but I used my trusty Stamp-A-Ma-Jig anyway to make absolutely sure everything was straight. Then I used Calypso Coral Embossing Powder (it's new this year and sooo pretty!) to superimpose my greeting on top. So fun to do! Isn't this sentiment awesome? It's from the Fabulous Four stamp set and is a great size!

I think I spent more time agonizing over whether or not to add the flower to my one layer card, and then which color and how many...than I did on the actual stamping! Ultimately one seemed to work the best, and for once NOT popped up on a Stampin Dimensional. It just didn't work. I love how dainty this flower is. It's from the Something to Say stamp set (also on my first order). I picked this stamp set t because not only does it have all three images to coordinate with the new Itty Bitty Accents Punch trio, it also have a great variety of greetings...and we can never have enough of those :)

I fussed around for a bit and then found the perfect piece of pattern paper from the Gold Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper series to line my envelope with. Love it!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog, I appreciate your visit!
