Kind Koala Thinking of You - FMS158

Kind Koala Thinking of You - FMS158

Hello again! I'm back today with a card inspired b the fun sketch by Jen T. over at Freshly Made Sketches:

FMS Final 158-001.png

I just love the Lullaby Designer Series Paper but really don't need that many baby cards so I've been trying to find other ways to use it. I think this card works perfectly!

Isn't this litle koala ca-yoot??? This is a really simple card to make! One sheet of Designer Series Paper to cover the card front, one tag stamped with one image in one color, a few hearts and one flower, fussy cut. EZ Peasy!

Oh, and the bow. So simple! Just take your length of Thick Baker's Twine and unwind it to make a shabby chic bow! I love little details!

Welcome back to another week with the Pals Paper Arts Challenge! This week we are working with this delightful and simple sketch:

Isn't it fun? I took the sketch literally when it said "any shape or image", I hope they meant it :)

My card is pretty straightforward but I did want to share one tip with you. I had some trouble with the pieces of the banner shifting when I was trying to lay them all out prior to adhering them...and then I had an epiphany! Someone else may have already discovered this, but it is new to me so wanted to pass it on. I took two of my Ovals Framelit Dies and laid them out like so:

I used a piece of scrap white card stock and ran it through my Big Shot. Since I didn't need the whole circle, I angled my paper to cut out only half of the oval. Then I ran my snail over one side, laid it over my card and adhered my banner pieces directly to it. Once done, I flipped the whole thing over, added Stampin' Dimensionals, and adhered it to my card...perfectly placed and so easy!

I used the Something for Baby Stamp Set and coordinating Baby's First Framelit Dies to create the onesie and the adorable flower. You can purchase these two items bundled together and save 15%!

Last night was the 2014-15 Stampin' Up! Catalog Premier and wow, did they bring it in with a bang! A wonderful, wonderful live event in Long Beach, CA which I was fortunate enough to be geographically close enough to get to go to. The live event was broadcast simultaneously to demonstrators in theaters across the United States, complete with prize patrols and so much fun!! I have fun photos of the event over on my Facebook page. Here's a peek at the new goodies I took away from the event last night. Stampin' Up! really outdid themselves!

About the new catalog, just WOW WOW WOW!! I love all the fresh clean images and papers and colors and kits and...and...words fail me. Really. I just love it! As a demonstrator I have catalogs (yes, plural) and am allowed to share them with you in person. So, local friends, please contact me to receive your copy, while supplies last :)

Without further ado, here is my card made using new product!

Aren't the colors delicious?!? I thought the Paper Players sketch by Anne Marie this week allowed me to showcase them beautifully!

And just what colors ARE they? Most of them you are familiar with: Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe. The one new color in the new Lullaby Designer Series Paper is Hello Honey. Yep, a warm, rich yellow. It's the answer to all the critics of Summer Starfruit and while I personally liked that shade of yellow, I can see that this new Hello Honey is going to be used a lot by me!

As you may have guessed by the name "Lullaby", this Designer Series Paper is intended to use for baby cards, with both masculine and feminine colors. BUT...as you can see, they can be used for so much more! The colors and patterns are so fresh and clean! LOVE!!!

At the event we were fortunate enough to receive one of every staff member's favorite new product. This stamp set, Tap Tap Tap, was Shelli's favorite so of course I had to feature it today! I love the vintage feel of the typewriter as well as how it still works perfectly with the fresh clean look of the paper. There are more fabulous and useful images in this set, I just couldn't fit anymore on this card! I can't wait to get inky!! The mojo is flowing today :)

Thank you so much for stopping by and I would love to hear what you think of these new products!
