Another Thank You - RS#134

I came across this sketch from Retro Sketches this past weekend and had to stop and use it to make a card right away. It is so darling!

And here's what it inspired me to create!

Another Thank You - RS#134

What do you think? In looking back at the card I have to laugh at myself. Both of these pattern papers are from the All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack. I have passed over both of these patterns time and time again, thinking that I would never use them. Then I saw this sketch and when I looked at the papers again, they were a little frilly and feminine and PERFECT for this project!

Here's a closer view for you so you can really see the details. I found both parts of the sentiment in the Another Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set. It is just a wonderful 'go to' stamp set. Both of these fonts just seem to work with the feeling of the papers so well! I added additional banner layers to make the thank you banner pop off the paper a bit more. This combination of Pistachio Pudding, Island Indigo and Lost Lagoon is so yummy! I'm so glad that Stampin' Up! makes it easy to create pretty cards by putting color combinations together for us...I would never have put these three together and look what I would have been missing!

These three lovely hearts can also be found in the Another Thank you Photopolymer Stamp Set. I think they are the perfect accent for this card! Of course, one little button with a bow and long tails is a fun accent as well. And (of course) I HAD to sneak a Candy Dot on there somewhere! lol

I hope you have enjoyed today's card. I sure did enjoy making it! I would love to hear what you think!

Thanks for stopping by!

Heartfelt Thank You - PPA171 Color Challenge

I'm here with another challenge, this one from the Pals Paper Arts design team but first I would like to thank them for selecting my submission as an Artist "Pick" last week! Whoo Hoo! You can see the card that was picked here

I had an idea in mind for this challenge but it got swept away by another idea and then...I had NOTHING, NADA, ZILTCH. Just could not come up with anything that pleased me. FINALLY, last night, it came to me...

I decided what I had been stuck on was having Very Vanilla as one of my colors. I kept wanting to add another color to the Baked Brown Sugar and Calypso Coral. Once I got past that block, the card came together very quickly.

I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to place the flowers exactly where I wanted them and stamped once with full ink and then stamped a second time without re-inking (just huffing on my stamp to remoisten the ink) to acheive a variation in color. The sentiment comes from "Another Thank You", one of Stampin' Up! new photopolymer stamp sets. It is the first photopolymer stamp set I have owned and I LOOOOOVVVVVEEEEE it..sorry to shout, but really, really enjoyed using it!

I added just a bit of color to the center of the flowers using Calypso Coral ink and a Blender Pen. Then just a touch of 2-Way Glue and some Dazzling Diamonds for a bit of sparkle. I stamped a little heart from the Another Thank You stamp set, fussy cut it out, popped it up with a Dimensional and added a bit of sparkle to it as well for the jewelry.

I hope you have enjoyed today's project and are inspired to get crafty!
