Remembering Your Birthday - PP211

Hello there and happy holiday Monday to you! In the States we are celebrating Labor Day with a long weekend, giving me LOTS of stamping time!

Today I'm playing along with The Paper Players and a fun Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge!

Here were my choices:

I decided to work with Birthday, Yellow, and Patterned Paper. I threw in the Pear Pizzazz because the challenge didn't say ONLY yellow :) I hope I don't get thrown out! lol

I pulled out the Borderettes stamp set and my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig and got busy! I really enjoy these small images because they are so versatile! I also combined birthday sentiments from two different sets, Age Awareness and Remembering Your Birthday to mix up the fonts a bit. This star clip from the Basics Hodgepodge Clips set is the perfect accent!

Hip & Happening Birthday - RS117

Hi there! I've just unpacked all my new goodies from the new Stampin' Up! catalog and I am IMPRESSED! I am truly inspired by all of the wonderful papers they have this year! Actually, I was a bit overwhelmed because I wanted to use them all at once :) So...I turned to this awesome sketch from Retro Sketches for help:

I love, love, love all the patterns in the new Confetti Celebration Designer Series Paper. I used a more neutral pattern as my backdrop against this AMAZING new sentiment from the Age Awareness stamp set, stamped in Bermuda Bay. I used a very colorful pattern to ground my sentiment and pulled colors from the patterned paper to compliment both the papers and the sentiment. A small strip of Crushed Curry cardstock balances out my bow and Candy Dots (my fav) add a bit of jewelry and balance. Once I was done I felt it still needed "something" to balance out the weight of the bow so I ended up adding two buttons off to the left. I couldn't tell you why, but they seem to just 'finish' the card.

I used another patterned paper from this collection to line my envelope. I just love all these patterns together. One neutral, one small pattern and one large pattern and they compliment each other perfectly! I just love how easy Stampin' Up! makes it for me to be creative :)

Thanks for stopping by and I promise to be back soon with more samples of awesome new product!
