Today's card was inspired by the fun sketch challenge over at the Fab Friday challenge blog:

I built the color scheme around one of the fun prints in the Flowerpot Designer Series Paper Collection. It's such a bright print that I was a bit nervous to use it, but I relied on white space to balance the brightness out.

The Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder as well as the layers of Tangerine Tango and Blushing Bride card stock add interest without overpowering the card. I heat embossed part of the sentiment in Crushed Curry and the other part is stamped in Tangerine Tango. Several layers of Baker's Twine cover the seam on the card. After I tied the knot, I frayed the ends with my Paper Piercer. I loved the finished look!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you stop by again soon!

Happy Hump Day, Stampers! Wednesday is always a good day, from here on out it's all downhill towards the weekend and this is my Friday off, something extra special to look forward to! I saw this cute challenge over at The Paper Players to use a button on a card.

Hmmm...a button! I have been neglecting my buttons in favor of Candy Dots (my fav as you know) so I was intrigued. And then I saw this challenge over at Fab Friday:

So then I thought "Well, buttons are round" and I started to see the flicker of an idea! Next I pulled out my Designer Series Paper to see what would strike me to go along with circles and buttons and saw the perfect papers and a card was well on it's way! Here's the final result:

What do you think? This color combination is my new favorite! These two fun coordinating papers are from the Confetti Celebration Designer Series Paper, aren't they AWESOME together?!? And I chose this sentiment from the Hostess Set Hello There, I just love the contrast of the sweet romantic font with the bold graphic paper designs. Then I just played around with circles adding a 3/4" punched circle and several appropriated placed buttons to continue the theme. And then of course, one single Pistachio Pudding sequin. Love!

I hope you've enjoyed today's card and that you continue to be inspired to create your own unique designs! Please stop by tomorrow as I will be back with another fun card and an exciting announcement!

Thanks for stopping by!!
