So Proud of You...

My last card was a "Woo-Hoo for You" card styled for a young gentleman, so I thought to be fair, I also needed one for the princess in the house :) What do you think? Can you almost see her crown? lol

My starting point was the ADORABLE Sweet Stuff stamp set. If you haven't seen it, please check it out! It really is sweet stuff! Then I started looking for a Designer Series Paper to give me that right feel and found it in the Gold Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper. It has such a sweet, airy feel to it that I knew it would be perfect for my princess card!

When I reviewed all of the coordinating colors in that paper, I loved them all so much that I couldn't leave anyone out. I've said it before, but it's worth saying again...Stampin' Up! makes our job of design easy by providing the footprint.

Yes, I admit, I used a mask again to stamp this little cutie. I started with Stampin' Markers but couldn't achieve a crisp enough image. Masking is really very simple, it's just an extra step. The colors in the stamped images are Garden Green, Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding. They are repeated in the layers of cardstock off to the right. I purposely gave all the layers different edges to create visual interest.

I ran a small strip of Calypso Coral cardstock on the left side of the image to help balance out all the visual weight on the right side as well as incorporate the remaining color in the pattern paper palette. A super sweet bow with trailing tails and adorable heart sequins in matching colors add to the princess sweetness as well as help to convey how much love and pride is in that simple statement "so proud of you". A matching envelope seals the deal.

I think this little princess will feel loved :)

Thank you so much for stopping by, please let me know what you think of my project today...hopefully you are inspired to get inky fingers!

Don't forget, tomorrow you will be able to see the new Holiday catalog online as well as shop from it! Woo-Hoo!!!!
