Hello There! Today's card is a crisp and clean birthday card created for the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge:
Let me tell you, this clean and crisp card was a struggle for me! My crafting area looks like a tornado blew through! These two strong colors paired together with only white proved quite a challenge. I really, really wanted to add another color! After trying many (many) combinations in which I kept adding things to balance the colors, I ended up pushing it all aside and subtracting instead. Bingo! For me, that was the solution.
I love this sentiment from the Age Awareness stamp set in Night of Navy with a mat of Night of Navy against the white card base....perfectly Clean and Simple! But, in the end I decided to add three rows of a border stamp found in the Mosaic Madness stamp set. The handy dandy Stamp-A-Ma-Jig is a stamper's best friend for getting things straight!
Just a few Daffodil Delight candy dots for visual interest and an envelope lined beautifully in a pattern from the Maritime Designer paper Series and this card is ready to go!
Thanks for stopping by!
