Clean and Simple Saturday - A Peaceful Thank You

Yay! We made it through another week! Our reward is a card that is SO simple to create...you can make tons of them or just make one and spend the rest of the day relaxing!

This card was inspired by a post by Brian King and I just HAD to try the technique for myself.

The concept is very simple. I used one of my Square Framelits to create a mask. I lined the mask up onto my Whisper White card stock and used a Stampin' Sponge to apply Marina Mist ink to the card front. When I removed the mask, I had a very lovely background to stamp my images on. The Peaceful Petals stamp set was another one from a recent order that I have been itching to ink up. I chose one of the blossoms and a sentiment from this set to stamp in Night of Navy.

After creating this card, I want to create multiple sets...I love it! But I also think it would be a nice sympathy card as well with a simple change in sentiment. How did I come up with these colors? My handy dandy Color Coach! I haven't pulled it out in awhile, I am so thankful that I did tonight. The combination of Whisper White, Night of Navy, and Marina Mist is very striking!

But of course, the card was not complete until I added those three little pearls :)

Thank you for sharing part of your weekend with me, I hope you have a good one and I will see you next week!
