Clean and Simple Saturday - Shades of Spring

Happy Saturday! It must be Easter weekend because I just had to use these happy colors!

This card almost did not happen. Seriously. When I sat down to make my Saturday card, I decided to challenge myself and use a color I do not use often. That wasn't a hard choice as my least favorite color is Garden Green. Please don't hate me if that's your favorite color! For me, blah. So Garden Green it is. I pulled up My digital Studio and asked it for a color combination using Garden Green. After a few choices I settled on a palette and away I went. Two sort-of cards later I was ready to throw in the towel and give up card making forever! I'm sure you KNOW that feeling! So frustrated!

So I started over and found this delightful patterned paper from the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper and quickly built from there. This card took about 15 minutes. lol. I'll tackle Garden Green another day :)

The funny thing is, the colors in this paper are Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango....hmmm, it doesn't look Tangerine Tango to me! So, I took liberties and used Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Daffodil Delight to stamp my sentiment.

And the sentiment, oh yes, have you seen it before? I haven't seen it used much but I think this stamp from the Photopolymer set Another Thank You is just the cutest thing! So cute I had to stamp it three times! And the ruffle ribbon is a fab accent! It's quickly becoming a favorite of mine...can we have it in ALL Stampin' Up! colors please? Three little rhinestones finish the whole thing off...

I would love it if you would let me know what you think of my ink color choices. Do you think they go well with the pattern paper? Or should I have stuck with Tangerine Tango?

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend and a blessed Easter if you celebrate it.
