Clean and Quick? Hmmmm....that's a little outside my comfort zone....just kidding!! I LOVE  quick and clean!

Can You Case It #41 - Fall Fest Thank You

I knew I wanted to showcase these awesome stamps from the Fall Fest Stamp Set and so I set out to pick the perfect colors...Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey and Pistachio Pudding. Only when I started stamping, they were wayyyyy too dark for the feel I wanted. So...I flipped the card stock over and tried again!

Can You Case It #41 - Fall Fest Thank You

On my second try, I stamped the Pistachio Pudding at full strength but stamped off for all the other colors to create a nice soft design. How did I get everything stamped in a perfect square? Well, I cut a piece of regular paper to the same size, 3 3/4" x 5", pulled out my Squares Framelits, placed the Framelit where I wanted my image to be and then ran the whole thing through my Big Shot! Now I had a template to lay over my white cardstock to stamp on. I used Post-It Tape to tack everything down and ensure no movement.

Once I was done I added my sentiment from the Lots of Thanks stamp set and three teeny tiny pearls colored with my darkest Daffodil Delight Blendabilities.

And the envelope! Have you EVER seen anyone use the Whisper White Designer Series Paper? Me, either! Now we both have! I thought it was a nice neutral compliment to my soft colors.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you will hop on over to the Can You Case It website to see what our other designers have in store for you! And we have some new, very talented designers on board so it should be fun! We'd love to see you play along!

Kind Koala Thinking of You - FMS158

Hello again! I'm back today with a card inspired b the fun sketch by Jen T. over at Freshly Made Sketches:

FMS Final 158-001.png

I just love the Lullaby Designer Series Paper but really don't need that many baby cards so I've been trying to find other ways to use it. I think this card works perfectly!

Kind Koala Thinking of You - FMS158

Isn't this litle koala ca-yoot??? This is a really simple card to make! One sheet of Designer Series Paper to cover the card front, one tag stamped with one image in one color, a few hearts and one flower, fussy cut. EZ Peasy!

Oh, and the bow. So simple! Just take your length of Thick Baker's Twine and unwind it to make a shabby chic bow! I love little details!

Happy Thursday! I am here today with another wonderful sketch from the Pals Paper Arts design team! So much fun to play with!

I stepped out of my comfort zone and played with my Stampin' Write Markers and Stampin' Blendabilities. It was SO much fun! I felt like I was thirteen again and playing with my Doodle Art!

For the Birds - Pals Paper Arts #224

This card came together very quickly for me. I wanted something clean and simple that would allow the coloring to be the focal point. I used just a few stripes of bright cardstock to provide a nice base for the focal image as well as a fun pop of color.

I realized after my card was complete that I had strayed from the sketch a bit so I re-did my card:

Which one do you prefer? I can't decide!

I did use a bit of retired product on this card. I love, love, love the texture that the Core'dinations cardstock adds to a project. And you can pick some up for about $.24 cents per 12 x 12 sheet over on the Stampin' Up! Clearance Rack! Such a deal!

I hope you have fun with this sketch, I can't wait to see what you come up with! Don't forget to pop on over to the Pals Paper Arts website to see what treats the other designers have in store for you!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Flower Patch Thank You - Retro Sketches #136

Hello there and happy Tuesday to you! I did a fair amount of stamping this weekend so, as promised, here is one of my creations:

Flower Patch Thank You - Retro Sketches #136

I was in the mood for something bright and crisp! I recently came across a card that I adored that used the Flower Patch Stamp Set without the coordinating Flower Fair Framelits and a light bulb went on over my head. Then I saw this sketch and the card came together pretty quickly from there! I love the combination here of Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral for my flower. So bright and cheerful! I stamped the flower center in Calypso Coral as well and then added some Wink of Stella for a touch of sparkle. I used Crisp Cantaloupe, Pink Pirouette, and Soft Sky for the background flowers. I also liberally applied Wink of Stella to them as well, unfortunately the sparkle doesn't photograph well..

The details...I frayed the ends of my Twine to add extra dimension to the card and applied sequins liberally :) I couldn't resist the stitching detail on the tag. It's the 'Anytime Tags" Die from Lil Inker.
